I am a lifelong resident of Williamson, New York. I actually bought the old farmhouse house (almost 200 years old) that I grew up in and live there with my wonderfully patient wife, crazy dog and cat. We have two amazing children that are both in college at the present time. We have 3 acres of fruit trees and a very large vegetable garden that I enjoy working with as a hobby.

How I became interested in photography.
My interest in photography started at a young age with a Christmas present of a Kodak Instant Camera. My mother bought me my first 35 mm camera in high school. When my kids started getting involved in sports, I started taking pictures at their games, which evolved into taking other kids’ pictures and eventually turned into taking sports photos for the local newspaper. My kids aren’t in school anymore for me to follow their sporting events, but I am hooked and love taking sports photos.

About five years ago a friend of ours asked if I could take their son’s senior pictures. I hadn’t done anything like that before, but thought I would give it a try. The pictures turned out well, and my senior picture career has taken off from there. I have no set studio but I consider the beautiful outdoor surroundings my studio, whether it be with the lake, barn, or a tree as a backdrop. I will travel reasonable distances for those that have a favorite spot that they would like to be photographed at. I’ve taken many shots that include pets, favorite car, sporting equipment, etc.

I really enjoy taking landscape shots and have my camera with me no matter where I go to capture those special moments. I have been showing some of my landscapes in a local art gallery (The Artisan’s Loft – see web link) since their opening 4 years ago and these are also for sale at the gallery.
